Hyderabad: Afghanistan Indians Association has come forward to help and support the flood victims in Andhra Pradesh with Rs 2 lakh donation. During the visit of Dr Ghazal Srinivas to Afghanistan, Afghanistan Indian's association has taken unanimous decision to support the flood victims
AIA deputed Dr Ghazal Srinivas to take care of the distribution and support. On 12th of Oct 2009 at 9am Dr Ghazal Srinivas, AIA member Smt Geetha Rama Raju and Sri Lagadapati Raja Gopal, member of Parliament, distributed 3 lakhs worth of Sarees and Blankets to almost 1400 Flood victims at Kotikalapudi village, Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Krishna dist. This village was completely drowned in the recent floods. Soldiers from Military have arrived to carry on the rescue operations in this particular village. Citizens of Andhra Pradesh, dignitaries, Media, all political parties and above all the flood victims have appreciated the kind gesture of Afghanistan Indians Association. |
